Lost Tomb of Amun Ra Update
We had our first meeting last weekend. We have mapped out the maze, started advertising and started building armatures for the statues we will have at the front entrance and withing the maze itself.

Here is the first flyer.
And here is a spoof newspaper article I put together in In Design. I found an actual article from 1922 about Howard Carter the man that discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun, changed the names and added a paragraph at the end to suit our needs.
Here is a link to the school's website if you fancy actually reading the article and you need a larger copy.

This is the start of our 'Ferryman' who guards the door to Amun Ra's tomb. He's going to be ten feet tall!.
He has a jackal's head and a man's body. (I know it looks more like a donkey at the moment. Not to worry, it'll be fixed in post!
ten foot tall 1" pvc pipe will run through the center.

Fleur, busy with the enormous feet and legs.

Here are some 'Moroccan Lamps' we made for a separate event. Which we are going to use again for this event.

One of us will post a step-by-step on how to make these later

I created these card lanterns using my Silhouette Cameo. What a great machine that is!

That's all for now. Will post more pix after our next construction get together.
