Alise in Underland - 3

We know that Halloween 2012 passed by long ago, but we promised you the third installment of  our three part invitation.
We wanted the third part of the invitations to feel like a tourist destination brochure for Underland sent by the two queens.

The envelopes contained this brochure
and admittance tickets.

We strung up some cardboard letters from our two balconies and lit them with black light, the whole thing said Alise in Underland...this picture was taken a few days later on Halloween after the winds had ripped the first two words off. :(

There were card men painting the roses,

A croquet game, and a mad tea party.

On Halloween we moved most of the outside decorations to the front for trick or treaters. The mushroom and the Hookah pipe were part of "The Caterpillar's Lounge."

There were two ways to go, this way and that way, and one of the entrances was through this gate, "The Flower Garden"

This was the Red Queen's floating chess game.

These tea cups sat on top of the squares which floated on the pool.

Hey creepy lady!! Get out of our Jacuzzi!

The Red and White Queens sat in matching thrones in the back yard.

This giant chair greeted guests as they came through the front door, there were cookies shaped like keys that read "eat me".

Bathroom, Halloween style

The Sweet Treats dessert buffet

Some hand crafted labels and pennant straws were part of the dessert buffet.

Here are some of the attendees:

Alice / Alise

The Duchess

One of the three Mad Hatters to show up

And last but not least, the White Rabbit.

This year (2013) we're planning something just as cool, so be sure to watch out for updates!!
Always,
Fleur.

It's already beginning to look a lot like Halloween (did I mention it's my favorite holiday?) And we have not one but two projects going on this year. Project one is our annual Halloween party for friends, family, clients and prospective clients held at my house. It's always not just a Halloween party but a themed Halloween party and this year is no exception. Our theme for this year is Dr. Who so stay tuned for the pix. I've also started utilizing Pinterest a bit more when designing this and other parties. The very first thing I do is to create a secret shared inspiration board that Fleur and myself can pin any and all ideas to. After our party I will add all our party photo's and then make the board public. Our other event is for our local High School, I am the chair person this year and our theme for that is The Lost Tomb of Amun Ra. We've done something similar before and it was a huge success. So we'll see. Here are a few more photo's from the last time.
